Pavao, pronounced pavow, meaning “Peacock” in Portuguese, is situated on the grounds of Sweetfield Manor which is a beautiful south-west coast “off beach” boutique property. Sweetfield Manor and Pavao are located in the heart of the ruff and tumble of St Michael’s Parish, tucked into an enchanted hidden green oasis atop the UNESCO world heritage Garrison site. The green and lush historic ambiance of Sweetfield Manor with all its glory and stone architecture, is a Bajan diamond in the ruff and the back drop for Pavao.

Pavao Barbados is a thoughtful and attentive modern pergola courtyard restaurant nestled in a tropical garden with grand overarching mature Mahogany trees. The Pavao space marries Guyanese purple heart wood, green tropical plants, lime stone carefully selected local materials to enhance and balance its presence beside the historic Sweetfield Manor and grounds.  Height, aged masonry, open spaces, chic design and comfort characterize Pavao’s ambiance which is as much a space to see as to be seen in.
